Paul George has yet to make his season debut for the Philadelphia 76ers.

After pulling off a difficult road victory to steal Game 5, the Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Boston Celtics on Thursday night for their Game 6 matchup. Paul George and his team put together another impressive victory.

In 40 minutes of action, George checked in and shot 8-17 fro the field. He lit it up from three, knocking down 5-9 shots and going 2-2 from the free-throw line. The veteran forward produced 19 points in the scoring department.

Beyond his scoring, George came down with four rebounds, snatched two steals, blocked one shot, and dished out three assists.

The star forward was a major contributor in a 106-93 win over the Celtics.

“Don’t get too high. Don’t get too high on these games, man,” George said on the broadcast after the game.

“You know, enjoy it, but flush it out. Get ready for the next one. It does so fast, and you just got to be ready for that next one. It’s gonna be an adjustment. We can’t expect the to miss shots that they missed. I thought they did miss some easy ones—some open ones—we just can’t be too high. Just kind of stay even-keeled.”

The Sixers had a lot of doubters heading into the series. A blowout Game 1 loss on the road didn’t do the 76ers any favors.

But once the Sixers managed to take Game 2, before getting Joel Embiid back for Game 4, the momentum is shifting. Just like that, the Sixers are tied 3-3 with the Celtics, and George has been a major help both on and off the floor.

“He was great,” Nick Nurse said of George after the game.

“I’ve been saying it the whole series. He’s been just excellent on defense, the entire game. Those two guys are great wings and he has to battle them every possession. They’re scoring, but he’s making them really work for it, and he’s getting more confident every game at the offensive end.”

The 76ers and the Celtics will meet again for Game 7 on Saturday, May 2. The tip-off time has not been revealed just yet.
