Barmore was a limited participant at practice each day this week. His status Sunday will likely be determined by how his knee is feeling closer to kick off. With Davon Godchaux (ankle) also questionable, the Patriots could be thin on their interior defensive line Sunday.
Jones was a limited participant at Friday's practice, and it appears he will be a true game-time decision Sunday. He is looking to return from a two-game absence. Jalen Mills and Myles Bryant would likely again be in line for increased workloads should he ultimately be unavailabe.
Godchaux's questionable status comes following a limited practice session Friday. His backup, Christian Barmore (knee), has also drawn a questionable designation, so the Patriots have the potential to be a little thin in the trenches. More clarity on his status figures to come Sunday morning.
New England will be happy to have one of its top rotational offensive linemen back, as the 25-year-old seems to have recovered from the concussion that held him out the previous two weeks. Guard Cole Strange (knee) is listed as questionable this coming Sunday, and Sow could very well fill in if he's unable to suit up.
Strange managed a limited practice Friday - a positive sign - but whether he'll suit up for Week 4 is still officially up in the air. If he can't go, rookie fifth-rounder Atonio Mafi will probably settle into the offensive line in his place.
Jones hasn't played since Week 1 against the Eagles, but he's at least been able to log limited practices as he works his way back to full health. He'll work to ramp up his activity level by Friday, with the intention of suiting up Sunday against the Cowboys.
Ekuale is feared to have suffered a torn biceps in Sunday's victory over the Jets. There has been no official timetable for recovery given, but his placement on IR is a sign it could be season-ending. His absence is expected to be a blow to the Patriots' interior defensive line depth.
