ESPN has released their top 100 real NFL MVP candidates list for the 2025 season in which three Ravens players made the cut.

The Baltimore Ravens 2025 season left a lot to be desired, but the team still has some game-changing talent on both sides of the ball.

Ravens Safety Kyle Hamilton was ranked at number 14 on the list. The 2022 first round draft pick had the highest ranking of any other Ravens player in 2025.

“Perhaps no number tells the story of Hamilton’s impact this season more than the Ravens’ defensive performance on the 128 snaps without him on the field,” Seth Walder wrote in the ESPN article. “On those plays, Baltimore allowed a massive 0.27 EPA per play, which would be by far the worst of any defense in the league. With him on the field, the Ravens’ defense was average. Granted, on-off splits in football can be awfully noisy, but it matches the consensus view of Hamilton — that he’s indispensable to Baltimore’s defense. And he’s incredibly versatile.”

Hamilton was selected as a First-Team All-Pro for the 2025 season. His versatility on the field cannot be denied being able to impact the game both in coverage and at the line of scrimmage.

The All-Pro safety signed a four-year, $100 million contract extension with the Ravens in 2025.

Lamar Jackson Ranks 49th on the List

Though injuries were a problem for Lamar Jackson in 2025, the NFL still sees the quarterback as very valuable asset.

The two-time NFL MVP has been the Baltimore Ravens heartbeat since he took over as the starter in 2018. He has established himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks in today’s NFL.

In 2025, Jackson threw for 2,549 yards with 21 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Jackson did not have many fully participated in practices all year long dealing with multiple injuries (toe, ankle, back, knee). He missed four games due to injuries.

Jackson is a unanimous NFL MVP winning the award in 2019. He won the award a second time in 2023 while leading the Ravens to the AFC Championship game.

Zay Flowers Ranks 67th on the List

Zay Flowers has established himself as the Ravens number one wideout.

The twitchy first round draft pick in 2023 caught 86 passes in the 2025 season. Flowers ranked 7th in total receiving yards with 1,211.

While the Ravens lost a heartbreaker in Week 18 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Flowers had himself a performance.

Flowers caught four passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns against the division rival. Flowers has showcased he can be amongst the elite when it comes to NFL wide receivers.

The Ravens came into the 2025 season as a heavy favorite to win the Super Bowl. Expectations were high, but the season came to disappointing end due to a Tyler Loop missed field goal.

Flowers, Jackson, and Hamilton all had impressive seasons, but the Ravens as a whole want to get over the hump and lift the Lombardi trophy.

Since the 2025 season ended, the Ravens have fired head coach John Harbaugh and has signed Jesse Minter to a five-year contract becoming the Baltimore Ravens’ new head coach. Minter will have big expectations to fill with this talented Ravens squad.
