The Baltimore Ravens got some new bulletin board material from Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett ahead their Week 10 clash in Baltimore.

Garrett, appearing on the November 7 episode of FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” show, suggested that the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson was not the best quarterback in the AFC North and that Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals was.

“I’m taking down Lamar,” Garrett told host Kay Adams in reference to his ability to sack Jackson, “but I’ll take Joe right now in terms of who’s got the nod over the other right now.”

Garrett did praise Jackson for all of the ways he could beat you, emphasizing, “He can still rush for 150 and three touchdowns,” before Adams pressed him to choose between the two.

The November 12 game is a rematch of the teams’ Week 4 meeting, when the Ravens embarrassed the Browns 28-3 at home. Baltimore enters the game 7-2 and in first place in the division, while the Browns are 5-3, in a three-way tie for second with the Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ravens Need to Stay Focused on Browns

The Ravens will have two division games in five days, with a quick turnaround against the Bengals on Thursday Night Football on November 16.

“We gotta take care of business, first things first,” head coach John Harbaugh told reporters on November 6, hinting at the concern for the potential to look ahead to the Bengals in Week 11. “We have the Browns, and we have two division games in… 5 days. That’s our challenge.”

The Browns have one of the top defenses league, and the team that was beat 28-3 in Week 4 did not feature star quarterback Deshaun Watson. Even without Watson, the Browns were able to take down the San Francisco 49ers, who were undefeated at the time. Watson is expected to start against the Ravens in Week 10.

“It’s all about the Browns,” Harbaugh said.

Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith already sent a message to the Browns saying on November 6, “Make no mistake about it, it’s our home. We gotta defend it by any means necessary.”

Ravens Stars Receive Praise From Pro Football Focus

Pro Football Focus released its midseason All-Pro team, and a flock of Ravens found themselves included.

Jackson was listed as the top quarterback, his “86.6 passing grade – 428 rushing yards” cited as key factors. Jackson is playing at an MVP level right now, and while some may be concerned with his counting stats, the only one that really matters is wins.

Smith was also elected as one of two linebackers to the All-Pro team (beating out former Raven C.J. Mosely, coincidentally). PFF called him “the engine powering the Ravens’ league-leading defense.”

The final Raven to make the list is a great story but will also upset fans. Geno Stone, who is having a breakout season, was listed as 2nd team All-Pro behind Atlanta Falcons safety Jessie Bates III.

Stone has become a fan favorite, with his league leading six interceptions. PFF might be hearing from Ravens fans about this one, but it’s a great sign when three of your star players make this kind of list.
