What the Baltimore Ravens’ Draft Means for Lamar Jackson

GettyBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
In 2025, Lamar Jackson was pressured on an historic high of 37.1% of his passing plays and the Ravens responded loudly.
Vega Ioane’s 80.2 PFF rating in the last two seasons positions him perfectly as an instant plug-and-play solution to the guard role. At 6’4″, Lane offers the jump-ball red-zone target, a feature missing from Jackson’s offensive arsenal for quite some time.
New head coach Jesse Minter’s bold defensive plan supported by the acquisition of edge rusher Zion Young ensures that Baltimore’s offense regularly benefits from good field position.
GM Eric DeCosta revamped Jackson’s deal to open up almost $40 million in cap space that was solely used to construct this roster. The signal from the top management is crystal clear: 2026 will be Lamar’s year.
