The rookie minicamp has finally arrived for the Bills, providing an exciting opportunity to showcase not only the 10 players they selected in the 2026 NFL Draft but also the rookies they brought in after the draft wrapped up. Buffalo added a handful of undrafted free agents, but they didn’t officially sign them until Friday. The Bills announced that they have signed a total of 12 undrafted free agents.

The Bills welcomed 12 new players to their roster right after the draft wrapped up nearly two weeks ago, but this was their first time stepping into the Bills facility. Buffalo wanted to ensure that these players passed their physicals before signing them to contracts, which is why there was almost a two-week delay before they officially put pen to paper.
These 12 players have a fantastic opportunity to shine at the rookie mini-camps that kicked off on Friday. If they perform well, there’s a good chance they’ll earn a spot on the training camp roster, which could pave the way for them to play in actual NFL games during the preseason.
The primary challenge for undrafted free agents signing with the Bills is that Buffalo already boasts one of the NFL’s strongest rosters, with many positions locked in for this season. Typically, teams in contention for the Super Bowl do not rely heavily on undrafted free agents to fill out their 53-man roster, which may put these players who just signed on Friday at a disadvantage.
However, if these 12 players secure a spot on the preseason roster, they will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in exhibition games. This will give the other 31 teams a chance to review their game tape and possibly allow them to latch on to a team’s active roster or even a practice squad.
Bruno Fina’s Dad, John, Played For The Bills
One of the players who signed on Friday was Duke’s offensive lineman Bruno Fina, and that name might sound familiar since his dad played 11 seasons in the NFL, including 10 in Buffalo.
John Fina played in the NFL from 1992 to 2001 with the Bills before finishing his career with the Arizona Cardinals in 2002. His son, Bruno, now has the opportunity to follow in his father’s footsteps, and it will be exciting to see how he performs during the first three days of rookie minicamp and throughout summer practices.
If Bruno can prove to the Bills that he can effectively play as a swing tackle, he could earn a spot on the active 53-man roster out of training camp. This is particularly important because backup swing tackles are crucial if either the starting left or right tackle gets injured, and they can play at any position.
