Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is getting some much-deserved respect in the NFL, but it needs to be louder.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is a man of many traits, and when he’s not out on the football field scaring opposing defenses, he’s hitting the golf ball down the middle of the fairway.

Allen has participated in several golf tournaments over the years, including the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the American Century Championship.

The 30-year-old quarterback could be as good at golf as he is at football if he got more time to play the sport, but one player who is way better than Allen on the course is Professional golfer Scottie Scheffler.

The 29-year-old golfer brought home his fourth golf major over the past weekend, winning the British Open at Royal Portrush by four strokes with a score of 17-under.

Even though Scheffler is the No. 1 golfer in the world, winning golf tournaments doesn’t have that much of an impact on his everyday happiness.

Scottie Scheffler Comments On Fulfillment In Winning

The week of the Open Championship, Scheffler said at a press conference that he doesn’t find fulfillment in winning.

“This is not a fulfilling life. It’s fulfilling from the sense of accomplishment, but it’s not fulfilling from a sense of like the deepest, you know, places of your heart,” Scheffler said.

The 17-time PGA Tour winner has made it clear that other aspects of his life bring him fulfillment, such as being a husband and a father, and at the end of the day, golf is just a sport.

Scheffler’s comments made their way around the sports world, and Josh Allen sat down with CBS Sports Evan Washburn to discuss how he agrees that sports aren’t what should bring fulfillment.

“It’s maddening,” Allen said about feeling like you’ve done everything right but not gotten the results you wanted via Robby Kalland from CBS Sports. “But at the same time it helps put things in perspective about what matters in your life and you figure out what that is fairly quickly. Scottie Scheffler had that really good interview before The Open that spoke a lot to me, and I really appreciate him sharing those words.

“Yeah, it’s kind of crazy where you’re coming out here and doing everything you can for a quick enjoyment of it and then you’re on to the next. It’s like the MVP award,” I don’t look back and think about that night. It happened and it was over with and I’ll never think about it again, to be honest. I’m so moved on to trying to help this team win football games this year.”

Even though Allen has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL since he entered the league in 2018, he still faces criticism for not yet reaching a Super Bowl.

Hopefully, Allen knows that there is a lot more fulfillment in football and in life, even though he hasn’t yet reached the ultimate goal of winning it all.

One Day, Allen and the Bills will reach the Mountain Top, and everything Allen has gone through the past few years will be all worth it.
