Trading for Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs could add be the perfect complement to New York Giants star Malik Nabers.

When the Buffalo Bills take the field in Week 1 of the regular season against the Baltimore Ravens, there could be new faces lining up at the wide receiver position.

Buffalo Added New Receivers This Offseason

This offseason, the Bills signed wide receiver Joshua Palmer from the Los Angeles Chargers to a three-year, $29 million contract.

Palmer spent four seasons with the Chargers, playing alongside quarterback Justin Herbert, who is regarded as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.

The 25-year-old receiver won’t lose a beat playing with Bills quarterback Josh Allen, who has been proven to be better than Herbert throughout his career.

Another receiver the Bills signed was former Cleveland Browns Elijah Moore. The 25-year-old receiver has spent four seasons in the NFL, playing for the New York Jets for two years and the Browns for two seasons as well.

Unlike Palmer, Moore has yet to play with a great quarterback, so the young receiver can become a star with better quarterback play.

Palmer should be a lock to make the 53-man roster since he was owed a heavy contract, but Moore will be fighting for a job this season.

Moore is only on a one-year, $2 million deal, so it will be easy to cut him if it becomes apparent that he can’t make the active roster.

If Moore shows he can’t make the 53-man roster, the Bills could go out and make a trade for a receiver.

Bills Writer Urges The Team To Trade For Romeo Doubs

Marcus Mosher from Fansided suggests that the Bills could consider trading for Green Bay Packers receiver Romeo Doubs.

“Another option at receiver, Doubs has primarily been an outside receiver for Green Bay and is in the final year of his contract. But with Jayden Reed, Matthew Golden, and Dontayvion Wicks all ahead of him on the roster, Doubs might opt to get out of Green Bay to earn more targets,” Mosher wrote. “Doubs isn’t the most athletic receiver, but he does a great job of winning jump balls and in the red zone. If the Bills just want to rent a receiver for a half-season if Coleman or Josh Palmer struggle, Doubs could be a viable target, and it wouldn’t break the bank to acquire him.”

Doubs is heading into his fourth NFL season and has 1,700 receiving yards and 15 scores in 43 games.

Doubs is 25 and is in the final year of his rookie contract, so if the Bills do trade for him, then it will most likely be a rental.

Last season, the Bills traded for Browns receiver Amari Cooper, who was a rental, and gave up a third-round pick in the process. So, why not do it again?

The Bills must do everything possible to reach the Super Bowl. If that means giving away draft capital down the road for a player who will only play one season in Buffalo, then they have to do so.

All eyes will be on how the Bills handle the season this year and what they do at the trade deadline this October.
