It’s finally playoff time for the Bills, and this could be the season they finally reach the Super Bowl.

Buffalo has a lot going its way since Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson won’t be in the playoffs. Mahomes and the Chiefs have eliminated the Bills from the postseason four of the last five seasons. Now it’s the Bills’ time to shine without Mahomes standing in the way.

Even though there aren’t many veteran star quarterbacks in the AFC playoffs, the Bills still have a lot of issues.

Throughout this season, the Bills have often relied on Josh Allen to carry the team on his back to secure victories. While this approach may work in one or two playoff games, it becomes unsustainable when aiming for four wins to clinch the Super Bowl.

Julian Edelman has Doubts About the Bills’ Chances on Sunday

The Bills will travel to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars on Sunday, and former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman is worried about Buffalo’s chances of winning.

“I’m honestly scared for the Bills going on the road to play this Jaguars team,” Edelman said Monday on “The Herd”. “This Jaguars team has an excellent defense and a good offense. They are very complementary; they get things done with well-rounded special teams. For the Bills, everything has to go right. They have to jump out to a lead, run the ball well, and Josh Allen has to make a couple of plays.”

The Jaguars are Playing Great Football

The Bills made the playoffs as the No. 6 seed, while the Jaguars won the AFC South and clinched the No. 3 spot. Jacksonville was one of the worst teams in the NFL last season, winning four games. However, it turned things around this offseason when the Jaguars hired Liam Coen as their head coach.

Coen might only be a first-year head coach, but he knows what it takes to win at the highest level, and even praised Buffalo’s head coach Sean McDermott on Monday.

“They’ve won a lot of football games and a lot of playoff games, a lot of big games, and they’re going to look at everything,” Coen said. “They’re going to look at everything that we’ve done; they’re going to look at what they do and how to combat those things.”

Even though the Bills have more playoff experience than the Jaguars, they probably won’t be thinking that walking into Jacksonville will be a walk in the park.

The Jaguars have been performing like one of the top teams in the NFL over the past couple of months. Just a few weeks ago, they went to Denver and handily defeated the Broncos, who are the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

If the Jaguars can score 34 points against the Broncos’ defense, which is among the best in the NFL and a tough team to play against, they definitely have a shot at beating the Bills on Sunday.

Buffalo better bring its best because it could be going home early if the Bills start slow.
