The Buffalo Bills have a very important new young fan this season as quarterback Josh Allen and his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, welcome their first child together.
Allen and Steinfeld announced the birth of their baby girl on April 2. The 2024 league MVP cut paternity leave short and returned to Buffalo for the first day of voluntary workouts on April 7.
Steinfeld, 29, also quickly returned to work following their baby’s birth. After revealing her new partnership with Ashley Luxe furniture, Disney announced that Steinfeld will star alongside Rashida Jones in the upcoming animated movie, “Hexed.”
Steinfeld also continues to share new issues of her newsletter, Beau Society, in which she included a never-before-seen photo from the Bills’ season.

Steinfeld famously keeps a low profile at Allen’s football games. She avoids the jumbotron and never posts photos from the stadium on social media.
However, now and then, Steinfeld will share a rare picture of herself decked out in Bills gear as she did in the May 1 issue of Beau Society.
Steinfeld wrote, “Today, I’m bringing on my dear friend Sophie Wood! Sophie and I met a million years ago at a mutual friend’s house. We clicked instantly. At our wedding, Goodwood (that will make sense in a minute) delivered a beautiful speech where she described our friendship as ‘the kind that feels eerily familiar, like you’ve known each other in a hundred lifetimes before this one,’ and I couldn’t agree more.”
Allen “exclusively” calls Steinfeld’s friend Goodwood, a nickname derived from the opposite of her sister’s brand, Badwood. Fans loved seeing Steinfeld in a Bills fleece, celebrating with her bestie in the snow — a quintessential Buffalo moment.

Allen spoke about how his perspective has changed since becoming a dad on April 20. “I think it definitely changes the mindset a little bit,” he told reporters. “I’m very excited. I do think this is going to be the best version of myself — in all aspects, my professional career and my personal life.
“It’s such a blessing. I’ve got an absolute rockstar of a wife that’s doing so many things right now and allowing me to be here right now and be with my teammates. Special times.” When asked if he’s gotten any sleep with a newborn at home, “No,” Allen answered with a laugh. “But I wouldn’t want it any other way. It’s very rewarding.”
Allen also joked about turning 30 and the notion of playing past his athletic peak. “And then hopefully, the dad strength kicks in, right? ” he said. “That’s what they say… I think just getting back to playing this game the way I love to play it, having fun, enjoying my teammates, enjoying this game — not focusing on the results and continuing to love the grind — the results will come with that.”
