The Buffalo Bills defeated the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night, improving their record to 3-0. Along with beating Miami, the Bills have taken down the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Jets.
Miami and New York are far from being playoff contenders, while the Ravens could emerge as the only other team besides Buffalo capable of winning the Super Bowl this season.
With their win on Thursday, the Bills have tied with the Ravens, both holding +500 odds to win the Super Bowl, which are the best odds among all 32 teams, per Fanduel.
Bills Should Be The No. 1 Favorite to Win Super Bowl
The Bills should be the favorites to win the Super Bowl and shouldn’t be tied with Baltimore. The Bills beat them in Week 1, even though the Ravens blew a 15-point lead in the second half.
Baltimore wins the Week 1 game 99 out of 100 times, but the Ravens are known to blow huge leads.
According to Josh Dubow of The Associated Press, the Ravens have lost 17 double-digit leads under head coach John Harbaugh. Suppose Baltimore wants to be considered the favorite to win the AFC and secure a Super Bowl victory. In that case, they need to demonstrate that they can maintain double-digit leads against their opponents.
The Bills have looked like the best team in the NFL since their second half against the Ravens, and it should continue for the rest of the season.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen is performing better this season, and he won his first NFL MVP award last year. He has thrown for 755 yards and five touchdowns without any interceptions.
Josh Allen Hasn’t Been Turning The Ball Over
If Allen avoids turning the ball over, the Bills are unlikely to lose many games. Buffalo is so talented that the only way to defeat them often involves winning the turnover battle to keep Allen off the field. Currently, that hasn’t been happening.
Allen has thrown six interceptions in his last 20 regular-season games, which is an improvement considering his performance in 2023 when he threw 18 interceptions.
Allen has been playing exceptionally well this year, leading ESPN’s Mike Greenberg to claim that he is playing the quarterback position better than anyone else has ever played it.
“I’m watching the game last night … I’m just a fan, I’m just a reporter,” Greenberg said, via Awful Announcing.“Nobody has ever played that position better than Josh Allen plays it. He’s not the greatest player ever, but you tell me who is playing the position better than he plays it.”
Allen is certainly a quarterback that many haven’t seen before. He’s incredibly talented in every area of the game, from passing to running. The best part about Allen’s game is that he stands 6-feet-5 inches tall and weighs 236 pounds, making him hard to take down in the pocket or while running in the open field..
Allen has everything going for him; all he needs is a Super Bowl win, which is likely to come in the next few years if he continues playing this way.
