Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his fiancée, Sarah Jane Ramos, have reportedly called off their upcoming wedding just weeks before they were set to tie the knot in Italy. The news broke days after Ramos shared a reflective message on social media while celebrating her bachelorette party in the Bahamas.
The couple’s split has already been widely reported, but new details surrounding the canceled wedding — including reported prenuptial agreement negotiations — have continued to emerge. Ramos’ social media post, shared shortly before the reports surfaced, has also drawn attention online.

Ramos posted photos from her Bahamas bachelorette weekend on Instagram on March 5, just days before reports surfaced that the wedding had been called off.
The wine specialist shared a carousel of images featuring herself surrounded by a large group of friends during the celebration. Alongside the photos, Ramos included a caption emphasizing the importance of friendship.
“I truly believe you can get through anything in life as long as you have really great friends. I love these girls so much ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥,” Ramos wrote.
At the time, the post appeared to celebrate her upcoming wedding.
However, two days later, TMZ reported that the couple had ended their relationship and canceled their planned ceremony.
Ramos made the decision during the Bahamas trip, where Prescott was also celebrating his bachelor party.
“The relationship had been rocky behind the scenes for months … but things came to a head with a blowup argument at their joint bachelor and bachelorette parties in the Bahamas — and Sarah Jane called it off.”
Prenuptial Agreement Talks Reportedly Led to Wedding Cancellation
Sources familiar with the situation told Yahoo’s Essentially Sports that discussions about a prenuptial agreement contributed to the decision to cancel the wedding.
The couple’s attorneys reportedly spent several weeks negotiating terms but were unable to finalize an agreement.
“The prenup wasn’t very strict,” the source explained. “Everyone basically kept whatever they had before the marriage. It was pretty straightforward.”
However, Ramos was reportedly seeking additional financial protections beyond the original proposal.
Prescott signed a four-year, $240 million contract extension with the Cowboys before becoming engaged in 2024. Sources familiar with the discussions said Ramos believed the agreement should reflect the length of their relationship and the life they had already begun building together.
Dak Prescott & Sarah Jane Ramos’ Relationship Timeline and Family Life
Prescott and Ramos were first linked in September 2023 and became engaged in October 2024.
The couple shares two daughters together: Margaret Jane Rose Prescott, 2, and Aurora Rayne Prescott, 9 months.
TMZ reported that the two are now focusing on co-parenting their children following the canceled wedding.
Both Prescott and Ramos had previously spoken publicly about their relationship and how becoming parents affected their dynamic.
In a December 2024 interview with Sports Illustrated, Ramos discussed how parenthood reshaped their relationship.
“Obviously, parenting brings a new element to your relationship because it’s not about you two anymore, the priority is your child,” Ramos said. “[Parenthood] makes you understand your partner on such a deeper, emotional level, and it’s definitely brought us even closer.”
Prescott also discussed fatherhood in an August 2024 interview with CBS Texas.
“I understand the responsibility as a father that I have, and I don’t take it lightly,” Prescott said. “It changed my world.”
As of now, neither Prescott nor Ramos has publicly confirmed the reason behind the reported breakup.
