One starting quarterback from the not-so-distant past of the Denver Broncos has found a new home.

Former Broncos quarterback Brandon Allen, who started 3 games and went 1-2 for Denver in 2019, has signed with the New York Giants. Allen played for the Tennessee Titans in 2025 under head coach Brian Callahan, who is now the quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator for the Giants.

Giants signing veteran quarterback Brandon Allen, per a league source,” NFL reporter Aaron Wilson wrote on his official X account on Monday. “… reunites him with Brian Callahan, his coach with Titans, who is now New York quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.”

Giants signed veteran QB Brandon Allen,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter wrote on his official X account.

“The Giants are adding to their QB room, agreeing to terms on a deal with veteran QB Brandon Allen,” The 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov wrote on his official X account. “He was with the Titans last year.”

Allen, 6-foot-2 and 209 pounds, threw for 3,440 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions as a senior at Arkansas in 2015, which was good enough to propel him into becoming a 6th round pick (No. 201 overall) for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2016 NFL draft.

He played 1 season for the Jaguars before 2 seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, 1 season with the Broncos in 2019, 3 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, 2 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and his 1 season with the Titans in 2025.

In 10 NFL seasons, Allen is 2-8 in 10 career starts.

Broncos Have 1 of NFL’s Most Stable QB Rooms

Headed into 2026, the Broncos have 1 of the NFL’s most stable — and best — quarterback rooms with starter Bo Nix and veteran backup Jarrett Stidham.

Headed into his 3rd season as the Broncos’ starting quarterback in 2026, Nix isn’t just a premium value for his franchise — he’s a value almost all 32 NFL teams would kill to have.

That’s why Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon placed Nix at the top of his list of the NFL’s “Most Underpaid” players again.

It was Nix’s broken ankle suffered on 1 of the final plays of an AFC Divisional Round overtime win over the Buffalo Bills that likely kept the Broncos out of the Super Bowl last season — made even more incredible by the fact that Nix broke his ankle then continued to play to set up the game-winning field goal.

The Broncos seemed lost without Nix in the 2nd half of a 10-7 loss to the New England Patriots 1 week later in the AFC Championship Game.

“Nix is a bargain to the Broncos like Drake Maye is to the Patriots,” Gagnon wrote on March 20. “Promising third-year first-round pick on track to become a longtime franchise quarterback. His $5.1 million 2026 cap hit ranks 35th at that position, behind Davis MillsMarcus Mariota, and Gardner Minshew. In fact, Nix won’t even be the highest-paid QB on the Broncos roster this year, as Jarrett Stidham is due $8 million.”

Nix was the last of a record-setting 6 quarterbacks taken in the 1st round and has gone about breaking NFL records through his first 2 seasons:

  • 1st QB with 20+ wins, 7,500+ passing yards, 50+ TDs in 1st 2 seasons
  • Most wins by NFL QB in 1st 2 seasons (24)
  • Most game-winning drives by QB in 1st 2 seasons (10)
  • Most comeback wins by QB in a single season (12)
  • 1st QB with 2 rushing TDs & 2 passing TDs in 1 quarter
