Super Bowl 50 MVP and Denver Broncos legend Von Miller has once again hinted about a potential reunion with the Broncos in 2026.
Speaking this morning on Free Range with Von Miller, the two-time Super Bowl champion delivered his clearest message yet that a reunion with the Broncos is what he wants.
“Next year, this Denver Broncos team is going to be scary,” Miller said.
“And I think that’s where you enter Von Miller.”
He went even further, envisioning how his presence could have altered the Broncos’ AFC Championship loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Without calling anyone out, the future Hall of Famer pointed to a pivotal moment late in the game:
“I’m not throwing anyone under the bus, but that play where Drake Maye rolled out on the bootleg and got the first down, I think Von makes that play,” Miller said.
“I would’ve made that play. Maybe the Broncos get another chance at the ball when Von makes that sack and everyone goes crazy.”
His comments today mark the second time in January that Miller has openly hinted at a return to Denver.
On Jan. 13, Miller also made a case for his return:
“I would love to be a Denver Bronco next season and be in that linebacker room with Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper, and contribute in any way that I can to improve those guys.”
For now, Miller has expressed strong interest in a Broncos reunion, though the team has not yet reciprocated.
Von Miller’s NFL Future
Von Miller has made it clear that his NFL career is not over just yet.
The 36-year-old is still producing at a high level and chasing history.
He finished the season with nine sacks, pushing his career total to 138.5, which ties former teammate DeMarcus Ware for ninth on the NFL’s all-time sack list.
Miller has previously said that passing Ware remains a personal goal.
If Miller records 3.5 more sacks, he would climb all the way to sixth all-time, placing him among the most dominant pass rushers the league has ever seen.
With that milestone within reach, Miller has been transparent that retirement isn’t something he’s considering right now.
While he acknowledges that he no longer controls where he plays at this stage of his career, Miller has made it clear where he wants to be.
And that is back where his Hall of Fame career began.
Von Miller’s Potential Return to Broncos
From a football standpoint, a return to Denver makes sense.
The Broncos already have emerging edge rushers in Bonitto and Cooper, meaning Miller wouldn’t need to carry a heavy workload.
Bonitto finished the season with 14 sacks and is a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year.
From a locker-room perspective, his value might be even greater.
Miller remains the Broncos’ all-time sack leader (110.5) and is forever linked to the franchise’s Super Bowl 50 run, where he dominated the Panthers and earned MVP honors.
His Denver career includes eight Pro Bowls, multiple All-Pro selections, and one of the most iconic postseason performances in NFL history.
Whether the roster ultimately has room for a reunion remains to be seen. But Miller has now made his intentions known twice this month.
He concluded his pitch:
“If you win a Super Bowl in two different eras with the same team, that would be crazy,” Miller said.
