Detroit Lions Social Media Posts Have Fans Concerned

The Detroit Lions' social media account has taken a dark turn, and fans are confusion and wondering what's up.

Are the Detroit Lions okay? That’s a question fans are asking after a string of random posts on X went out on Monday, April 20.

This week is officially the NFL draft week, and franchises are taking to social media to kick off the week with exciting social media posts. But, the Lions’ account got, well, a bit dark. One could even say their posts got into the existential realm.

Notably, at 8:05 a.m. Eastern time, the Lions’ X account sent out a message stating, “Live your life with no regret because tomorrow is not promised.” That’s a lot to handle on a Monday morning. Now, fans are reacting to the message.

Detroit Lions Fans React to Odd Social Media Posts From Franchise

“Not something I wanted to read when I opened my Twitter,” one follower said in response to the message. “Who got control of this account?” another added.

“Yo, everything okay in Detroit?” another asked. “The Detroit Existential Lions,” one more said.

“Biggest panic button tweet I’ve ever seen from a professional sports organization,” another said.

A lot of the posts on X responding to this Lions message were asking, “Are you guys okay?” Fans were also expressing concern over the admin of the account. Others were pegging it to the Detroit Pistons‘ loss in the first game of their playoff series, saying the admin were having a hard time dealing with it.

The Lions continued to post on X during the morning, and even though the messages were more “normal,” they were still odd, largely because they used no proper punctuation. That’s normal on social media, but not for a franchise in the NFL.

“Good morning lions !! let’s work !!” one of their posts said. “We’re comin for it all – hutch,” another added, referring to Aidan Hutchinson.

So, let’s hope the social media manager for the Detroit Lions isn’t having a meltdown. We need to save such moments for the draft.

Detroit Lions Gearing Up for 2026 NFL Draft and Looking for the Best Tackle

The Detroit Lions are days away from the NFL draft, which kicks off on Thursday, April 23 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and runs for three days. Tim Twentyman of the team’s official website thinks the team’s No. 1 position of need in the draft is tackle. Tell us something we don’t know, right?

“Holmes brought in veteran Larry Borom to compete for a starting spot opposite (Penei) Sewell,” he states in a pre-draft piece. “Borom has 38 NFL starts under his belt. Both Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell have said this offseason they’d feel comfortable with him starting at right tackle Week 1.”

He adds that “Giovanni Manu is heading into a critical third season needing to show development and the ability to compete for a role.”

So, while the Detroit Lions certainly have help already in the tackle position, Twentyman, and many NFL experts, see this as the prime need for the team. I’d like to see them snag a promising edge first, but Holmes doesn’t seem interested in that idea.
