Life has never been better for Micah Parsons. After being traded to the Green Bay Packers, Parsons shared an emotional video with his mother as his $188 Million contract was able to do the unthinkable.
Set to earn $136M guaranteed, Parsons knew that he’d be set for the rest of his life. The star defensive player knew the money wasn’t all for himself as he shared a significant portion with his mom.

Most people could only dream of having one million dollars, but the Packers handed him $136M. That’s not to say he isn’t worth it, as the sky truly is the limit for the 26-year-0ld. It didn’t even take the Packers that much to acquire him, all things considered.
Parsons video shows him embracing with his mother, as both are crying after he revealed the news. His caption read, “That moment when your Momma never got to work again! God you are amazing!!”

Even though the Dallas Cowboys seemed to offer Parsons more, he knew this was about more than just the money. Parsons’ relationship with Jerry Jones was beyond repair as the four-time Pro Bowler sought a trade.
Kirk Franklin’s song, “Smile“, played in the background on his video. It’s a fitting song for the moment including lines such as “I smile, even though I hurt see I smile. I know God is working so I smile. Even though I’ve been here for a while. I smile, smile.”

Packers fans will be the first to tell you they still have a problem when it comes to their secondary. McKinney and Nate Hobbs are steps in the right direction, but including a player like Nixon in that list shows how thin they are at the position. Keep in mind, they had to have Bo Melton change from a wide receiver to a cornerback just to stay on the team.
Parsons is set to make an immediate impact as he’s joined alongside Lukas Van Ness. With Quay Walker in the mix, Green Bay has a young yet powerful mix of rookies and veterans on defense. Trading Kenny Clark is going to sting for awhile, but somehow this Packers team continues to get younger.
With plenty of in-experienced pass-catchers on offense, Matt LaFleur has his work cut out for him. Jayden Reed’s injury along with Jordan Love’s thumb causes room for concern, though no one seems too worked up about their ailments. Moving forward, this team is only focused on one week at a time.

Aaron Rodgers won it at the same age just as the team brought in Charles Woodson. Now that Love has Parsons, the timing aligns as he is 27 as well.
