After a heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, arguably the best receiver in the NFL and the top wideout for the Las Vegas Raiders, Davante Adams, was visibly frustrated on the sideline.
After throwing his helmet on the sideline, Adams made his toward the away team’s locker room at Arrowhead Stadium. As he was about to enter the tunnel, a cameraman is seen cutting off Adams to move to the other side of the tunnel’s entrance. As a result, Adams shoved the cameraman to the ground.
Adams took to Twitter shortly after the game to issue an apology to the cameraman.
“Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game,” Davante Adams wrote on October 11. “Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran infront of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. Thats not me..MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this.”
On Tuesday, TMZ reported that the cameraman shoved by Adams had filed a police report for “non-life threatening” injuries.
Adams Charged for Shoving Cameraman
On Wednesday, October 12, Adams was charged in Kansas City Municipal Court with misdemeanor assault for shoving the cameraman, according to court records. Adams’ court hearing is scheduled for November 14.

Rapoport also provided some clarification on what this means for Adams.
“Point of clarity on #Raiders WR Davante Adams: He has been charged with a city ordinance violation, which is a little lower than a state misdemeanor assault charge, per the prosecutor’s office. It carries a fine of $250 to $1K or up to 180 days in jail or both,” Rapoport wrote.

The NFL is also getting involved in the situation.
“The NFL is expected to render some type of discipline against Adams,” Pro Football Network NFL insider Aaron Wilson wrote on October 12. “It’s just a matter of how severe the discipline will be. Obviously, the league doesn’t want this to happen again and will set an example with how it handles the situation.”
