With training camp underway at Missouri Western State College, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce couldn’t attend the New York City premiere of his new movie, “Happy Gilmore 2.”
However, the movie’s star, Adam Sandler, gave Kelce his flowers while speaking to Entertainment Tonight. He called the 10-time Pro Bowler “a stud” and “a great actor and a great human.”
“Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell,” Sandler continued. “He’s like the guys I grew up with. When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.”
Sandler had even more glowing things to say about Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

“Taylor is incredible,” Sander gushed. “Taylor is so damn nice to my family and has always been. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.”
In one interview, Sandler said that if he weren’t an actor, he’d be on the road as a “professional Swiftie.”

However, Swift broke her social media silence to hype up her man’s new movie.

She shared the movie posted on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Happy Gilmore 2 had me cackling and cheering the whole movie! An absolute must watch, 13/10. go watch it on @netflix as soon as humanly possible 🍯.” The honey emoji is a hint at Kelce’s cameo in the film.

“They love Taylor. I love Taylor,” Sandler said, per AtoZ Sports. “Travis is just nice enough [that] he wanted to do something. So we wrote something for Travis and when he said yes, yeah, my girls were very excited, including my wife. Everybody loves him.”
When asked if there was a discussion about getting the “Cruel Summer” singer in the film as well, “We didn’t want to bother Taylor,” Sandler responded. “We just let Taylor entertain the world as she does. I listened to ‘All Too Well’ three times in a row today with my kid. She’s done a lot for our planet, so we love her.”
