Taylor Swift doesn't have to worry about a controversy looming over her wedding with Travis Kelce anymore, which is good news.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs are focus on their wedding, and now, Swift won’t have to worry about a controversy that’s been looming over her Eras Tour, which ran from March 17, 2023, to December 8, 2024, spanning 149 dates.

On Wednesday, March 11, news surfaced that impacts people who went to Swift’s Eras Tour and weren’t happy with their seats.

The Eras tour, of course, broke records. According to research from Billboard, “the record-setting trek grossed more than $2 billion and sold over 10 million tickets: $2,077,618,725 and 10,168,008, respectively, to be exact.”

Billboard adds that the tour is “the highest-grossing tour of all time, by artists of any genre, and from any era in music history.” Going by data officially reported to Billboard Boxscore, the trek marks the biggest tour ever by more than $900 million, easily beating Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour, which is the only other tour to gross more than $1 billion.


Taylor Swift Gets Good News Just in Time for Her Wedding

As of Wednesday, Swift concert attendees in Vancouver who purchased tickets with an obstructed view, and weren’t informed about it ahead of time, are eligible for a refund from StubHub.

According to an official statement, “Consumer Protection BC has reached an agreement with StubHub Canada, a secondary ticket platform operator, following a consumer complaint and an investigation into the company’s ticket sales practices.”

As Now Toronto reports, “Among StubHub’s consumer protection violations were not disclosing the full cost of a ticket, including taxes, fees, and service charges. The company also neglected to provide consumers with guarantees if their ticket did not match what was advertised.”

So, fans who purchased tickets for December 6, 7 and 8, 2024 with obstructed or limited viewing angles in sections 219 to 236, 336, or 418 to 437 are able to get a refund from StubHub. Plus, reseller will also pay $6,000 to Consumer Protection B.C., $2,500 to the Consumer Advancement Fund and “improve transparency for ticket sales moving forward,” according to Now Toronto.

“People buying tickets in BC have the right to clear, accurate information about what they are purchasing and what it will cost before they buy,” Louise Hartland, director of public relations for Consumer Protection BC, said in a statement. “This agreement is about transparency and ensuring consumers can access refunds when the law requires it.”


Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Getting Closer to Their Wedding Date

On Tuesday, March 10, Kelce appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” and was asked about the status of his wedding.

“We share the same love for what we do, and fortunately we’ve had this desire since we were kids in our selective professions,” Kelce said of his future wife, according to Nate Taylor of ESPN. “It’s amazing to see her keep going to the table, keep finding new things to write about, keep finding new melodies and, on top of that, still seeing her have that love and joy in what she does.”

As for the wedding date, Taylor dropped the news that the two plan to get married “before training camp.” The Kansas City Chiefs haven’t announced dates for their 2026 training camp yet, but it usually starts in mid-to-late July.
