The exact location of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding destination has suddenly emerged, according to insider Rob Shuter, who revealed a surprise new location in a new interview with a New York TV station.
The ceremony is taking shape not at a luxury hotel or sprawling estate but inside Swift’s own New York City residence, a choice that echoes how fellow superstar power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z handled their own ceremony in 2008. Shuter said the unexpected choice came together quietly and will likely stun fans expecting a far more traditional celebrity wedding setting.
Insider Names Swift and Kelce’s Wedding Location
Shuter, author of the popular Naughty But Nice entertainment insider newsletter, went on the record during the live broadcast, stating that the couple’s reported July 3 ceremony is set for Swift’s apartment in New York’s SoHo neighborhood.
“I’m hearing New York, and I’m actually hearing a location, let me give it away. It is at her own apartment,” Shuter said, in the Fox 5 New York appearance. “That street downtown in SoHo will probably be cordoned off and the wedding will take place there.”
The space is considerably larger than its street-facing exterior suggests. Swift has reportedly purchased four units within the same building and combined them into one expansive compound running approximately 8,300 square feet.
“She has bought four apartments in that building and has knocked them into one massive, massive compound,” Shuter said, enough room to host a ceremony rivaling what the biggest names in music have managed before.
That comparison is the one made by Shuter himself. Beyoncé and Jay-Z wed April 4, 2008, inside Jay-Z’s 13,500-square-foot TriBeCa penthouse, transforming a basketball-court-size living room into a tented ceremony space stocked with 70,000 white dendrobium orchids flown in from Thailand, according to a People Magazine report. The event was capped at 40 guests, phones were collected at the door, and nearly every detail stayed under wraps for years afterward.
Swift-Kelce Security Concerns Before Wedding
“That’s what Jay-Z and Beyoncé did. They got married at their apartment,” Shuter said. “I think they felt they could control it more doing that.”
Control is a recurring theme in how Swift and Kelce are approaching the day. Wedding details have leaked repeatedly in the months prior, pushing the couple’s team to tighten security at every level, according to OK Magazine.
“Taylor is extremely aware of the risks that come with this level of fame and exposure,” a source told OK Magazine. The publication reported that planners have discussed staging a large, visible celebration as a decoy while a second, more private ceremony unfolds separately, shielding the real moment from unwanted attention.
The guest list has been scaled back from earlier, larger ambitions, with roughly 150 attendees now expected from Swift and Kelce’s closest circles, according to The Blast‘s Favour Adegoke.
Shuter added that invitees have been steered away from bringing gifts entirely, with the couple asking guests to donate instead to a list of favored charities, a move consistent with Swift’s history of significant giving, including $50 million in bonuses distributed to Eras Tour crew at the close of her run.
