Taylor Swift is reportedly taking extraordinary measures to prevent leaks surrounding her upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce, including taking a very personal and time-consuming step instead of sending traditional save-the-date notices.

The unusual strategy comes amid growing concern over wedding leaks and intense public scrutiny surrounding one of the world’s most closely watched celebrity couples.

Rather than distributing printed invitations that could wind up in the wrong hands, Swift has been picking up the phone and personally calling celebrity guests, TMZ exclusively reported Wednesday. Swift herself has placed some of the calls, with her team handling the rest.

Taylor Swift’s Strategy to Plug Leaks

The outreach campaign is deliberately thin on specifics. Guests have been told the nuptials are set for this summer and to keep their schedules open. But no date or location has been confirmed, sources told TMZ. Printed save-the-dates, by their very nature, tend to leak to the media and as a result, the public.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is among those who have confirmed plans to attend. During an appearance on “The Fan,” Reid was asked about his invitation and replied, “I probably have,” according to StyleCaster.

The three-time Super Bowl-winning coach added that he was “so happy” for the couple.

“When it really comes down to it, it doesn’t matter how big the show is around them. They’re in love and that’s the most important thing,” Reid said, as quoted by StyleCaster.

The ceremony has reportedly been planned for July 3 in New York City, according to multiple entertainment news reports. Entertainment insider Rob Shuter, writing in his Naughty But Nice newsletter, reported that Swift’s SoHo compound of four combined units spanning roughly 8,300 square feet is the likely venue, drawing a parallel to Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who married inside Jay-Z’s TriBeCa penthouse in 2008 with a tight guest list and a near-total information blackout.

Travis Kelce Wedding Security Rattles Swift

The phone-call approach is only the latest layer in an escalating security operation. Prior reporting by OK! USA reporter Aaron Tinney described Swift as “on edge” after key wedding details leaked publicly. Suspicion over the source of those leaks reportedly fell inside Kelce’s circle, a situation Kelce was said to be quietly addressing.

Shuter separately reported that Swift has commissioned six wedding gowns, with some serving as deliberate decoys to conceal the actual look until the ceremony.

“The goal is to confuse people, stop leaks, and make sure nobody figures out the real look ahead of time,” one insider told Shuter. Every designer signed ironclad non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) barring any details from circulating, according to Shuter’s report.

The guest list is expected to reach roughly 150 attendees, with guests asked to forgo gifts and donate instead to the couple’s preferred charities, Shuter reported. Even confirmed invitees have not been told the exact location — final logistics will arrive close to the ceremony date.

“This wedding is being handled like a major Hollywood production,” one insider told Shuter. “And Taylor is personally overseeing every single detail.”

Despite the nonstop spotlight surrounding their relationship, Swift and Kelce continue to guard key details of their wedding plans with unusual secrecy. The latest report suggesting Swift is personally calling guests instead of sending invitations only adds to the intrigue — and reinforces just how determined the couple appears to be to keep their biggest moment private.
