Travis Kelce continues to weigh his NFL future while quietly returning to social media following a new business announcement.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently reshared a post from Sleep Number after news broke that he became an investor and strategic partner in the company. The move comes as Kelce considers whether to return for a 14th NFL season, a decision he has said he plans to make before free agency opens in March.

At the same time, Kelce received retirement advice from Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan during Wednesday’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast, offering insight into what helped Strahan walk away from the game after 15 seasons.

Michael Strahan Shares Retirement Advice on ‘New Heights’

During the conversation, Strahan explained the mindset that led him to retire following the New York Giants’ Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots.

“You know that, at some point, you’ll never put on another helmet, you’ll never put on another pair of shoulder pads,” Strahan told Kelce. “You’ll never slide those pants on with the knee pads and thigh pads. You’ll never tape your wrist again. It’s final. There is no other league.”

Strahan said he felt peace with his decision because he knew he had given everything to the game.

“So, I realized for me, after 15 years, I’d done everything and there was no way I was going to cry at a press conference for my retirement, because I knew I put everything I had into it,” he said. “And as long as you know that, it’s final and you’ll never do it again, then great.”

Kelce asked whether Strahan entered the 2007 season knowing it would be his last.

“I kind of felt like it,” Strahan said, adding that he might have returned if the Giants had lost the Super Bowl. “It’s been like, man, this close, almost like, ‘I gotta get one more run.’”

Strahan ultimately retired after winning the championship, explaining,

“What else am I trying to prove? My body feels good. I’ve won every individual award, and won the ultimate award, which is the Super Bowl with my team.”

Kelce previously said he wants to finalize his decision before free agency.

“Seeing my brother go through it, and seeing how the league works, the season re-starts in April, and I want to give the Chiefs a good opportunity, whether I come back or not,” Kelce said last month.

“I’d like to make that decision before they’ve got to get draft picks and free agency opens.”

Travis Kelce Returns to Social Media After Sleep Number Investment

As he weighs retirement, Kelce continues to expand his business portfolio.

The Chiefs star recently confirmed he is now an investor and strategic partner in Sleep Number, prompting his return to his Instagram Stories, where he reshared the company’s post announcing the partnership.

Sleep Number stated that Kelce will become one of its top shareholders, though he will hold less than 5 percent of the company, according to Deadline. He acquired stock in the open market and received restricted stock units that vest over three years. Kelce will also appear in national marketing campaigns for the brand during that same period.

According to the company, Kelce has used Sleep Number products since 2019.

“I’m intentional about where I invest and the brands I align with,” Kelce said in a statement.

“I’ve slept on a Sleep Number bed for years, and it’s been a constant through different seasons of my career and life. The ability to adjust the bed as my recovery needs change is something I’ve personally relied on, and it’s why becoming an investor felt like a natural next step.”

He added, “This partnership reflects my confidence in where the company is headed and the growing opportunity around sleep.”
