Travis Kelce shared a new personal moment involving fiancée Taylor Swift — and it involved sourdough bread, weight gain, and a broken chair.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared on “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce,” where he joked that Swift’s homemade baking has him “eating good” and paying the price.
Kelce, 36, made the comments in a clip posted to Instagram Thursday, Feb. 5, alongside host Kylie Kelce, who is married to Kelce’s older brother, Jason Kelce.
Travis Kelce Says Taylor Swift’s Sourdough Led to a Broken Chair
Kelce introduced himself in the clip with a laugh, saying, “Hi, I’m Travis Kelce, Kylie Kelce’s brother-in-law.”
He then delivered the punchline.
“And I’m not gonna lie,” Kelce said. “I broke Taylor’s chair with the weight I gained from her sourdough.”
Despite the mishap on “New Heights” —which quickly went viral—Kelce made it clear he has no regrets.
The Super Bowl champion joked that Swift’s homemade bread supports “good gut health,” prompting Kylie to respond, “That’s true love,” as the two laughed and sent their love to Swift.
In the new episode of “Not Gonna Lie,” Kelce admitted that Swift “laughed” about the broken chair AND that he ate two almond croissants on his way to be interviewed by his sister-in-law.
Taylor Swift Previously Opened Up About Her Baking Obsession on ‘New Heights’
Swift discussed her love of baking during a special appearance on Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” in August 2025.
During that episode, Kelce hinted at shared hobbies around the house, prompting Swift to joke, “I’d say all my hobbies could be categorized as, like, hobbies you could have had in the 1700s… I get all my granny s—.”
She added that she rotates through baking phases.
“I have a different baking obsession every six months,” Swift said.
Kelce responded, “I am the luckiest man in the world.”
Swift then admitted just how deep the current phase runs.
“We’re very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life,” she said.
“The sourdough’s taken over my life in a huge way. I’m really talking about bread 60 percent of the time now,” Swift added, explaining she makes blueberry lemon, cinnamon swirl, and cinnamon raisin loaves.
Her podcast appearance came just days before she and Kelce announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post.
Travis Kelce Brings Taylor Swift’s Music to San Francisco Party
Kelce also made headlines later that week when he appeared at the “Tight Ends & Friends” party in San Francisco, hosted by Sports Illustrated and Tight End University.
Swift did not attend the event in person, but Kelce ensured her presence was felt.
Late in the evening, Kelce jumped behind the DJ booth alongside Loud Luxury’s Andrew Fedyk and Joe De Pace at Public Works. He put on headphones as Swift’s “The Fate of Ophelia” played from her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Page Six reported Kelce scratched the turntable during a remixed version of the track and even broke out choreography from Swift’s music video.
Moments later, Loud Luxury mixed Rihanna’s “We Found Love” with Swift’s “You Belong With Me.” Kelce pulled out his phone, filmed himself dancing, and sang along with partygoers.
