Interest around Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby keeps building. Moreover, players on teams who are looking to contend in the 2026 NFL season aren’t hiding that they would like Crosby on their team.
Amid the speculation surrounding Crosby, Cincinnati Bengals wideouts Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins made their pitch for the Raiders star when asked what player they would like to see the front office add over the offseason.
“I want to go with your boy from Vegas, though,” Chase said during the Feb. 4 edition of “Up & Adams.” “Maxx Crosby… He’s a dog. I like Maxx Crosby.”
Furthermore, when Chase revealed that he would like to see Crosby in Cincinnati, Higgins backed that idea.
“I like Maxx Crosby,“ Higgins added.
Meanwhile, host Kay Adams also stated that she could see the Bengals making a move for the veteran pass rusher.
“I could see him in Cincy; come get a ring with my boy,“ Adams said.
Insiders Reveal Latest on Maxx Crosby Trade Rumors
Nonetheless, FOX Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer noted that Crosby could be on the trade market this offseason. In an appearance with Yahoo Sports, Glazer explained how the Raiders made a mistake shutting down Crosby during the season. “There’s a couple guys. They tell you they’re playing, they’re playing.”
He was then asked if he believes Crosby’s time with the Raiders is done. “I do. So the day it [shutting down Crosby] happened, no less than 20 teams called me, and asked, ‘Is this real. Can we get him?’“
Moreover, Glazer then said that this is Crosby’s decision, not the Raiders’, on why he’s done with the team. “They [Raiders] don’t want to do it. But he was just like, ‘I’m not going through another rebuild.’“
Meanwhile, another insider shared information regarding Crosby as The Athletic’s Dianna Russini revealed during a Feb. 4 appearance on “Zolak & Bertrand“ that the Raiders star would like to play for New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel.
“As for this upcoming offseason, outside just free agency, the thing that I’m going to be watching are these players that perhaps want trades,“ Russini said. “That’s what I want to see. Maxx Crosby doesn’t seem too happy in Las Vegas. Is he going to ask for one officially and ask out? Is that a guy? I can tell you, I know he wants to play for Mike Vrabel. He’s told me before.”
Raiders Win Regardless If They Trade Maxx Crosby or Not
With the speculation running wild regarding Crosby, Yahoo! Sports‘ Jason Fitz believes that the Raiders are in a win-win position, as they can either keep a great player as part of their rebuild or trade him to accumulate picks to advance their rebuild further.
“We know he’s a great player, and obviously, he’s great for the locker room,“ Fitz told Caroline Fenton on the Feb. 3 edition of Yahoo Sports Daily. “If he wants out [and] if the Las Vegas Raiders decide that this is a long-term rebuild, I also think that’s healthy. I want Maxx to go wherever Maxx is happy. If Maxx needs to go somewhere else to win a bunch of games and win a Super Bowl, and the Raiders get a haul of picks in return, sure…
“I would just implore everybody that wants something for Maxx or for the Raiders here to understand that I think for the first time ever, it’s win-win. It’s win-win for the team. It’s win-win for Maxx. Whatever Maxx wants, I think the team will honor and respect.”
