Analysts expect the Los Angeles Rams to make an all-in move at No. 13 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. What that looks like, though, is not clear.
NFL.com’s Gennaro Filice argued it could be something pundits don’t expected. They could target a surprise prospect at a position that’s not a very big need for the Rams.
In his newest 2026 NFL mock Draft on Monday, Filice predicted Los Angeles to not only target a receiver but one that most analysts don’t have as a top three wideout in the 2026 class — Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion.
“Yes, I’m throwing a curveball into the perceived receiver pecking order, with Concepcion as the third pass catcher off the board,” wrote Filice. “The biggest knock on his game is the drops — Pro Football Focus credited him with 19 over three college seasons, including seven in each of the past two.
“But Concepcion’s a prolific separator — and when he catches the ball, the man’s a bursty YAC monster who’d supply something new to the Rams’ Puka Nacua/Davante Adams-led receiving corps.”
Neither NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah nor ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. have Concepcion ranked as a top five receiver for 2026. Jeremiah placed Concepcion at No. 29 overall on his most recent 2026 NFL Draft big board.
In 2025, Concepcion posted 61 catches and 919 receiving yards. He also had nine touchdowns.
Could Rams Target KC Concepcion in 2026 NFL Draft?

GettyNFL.com’s Gennaro Filice predicted Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams to select wide receiver KC Concepcion at No. 13 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft.
With a No. 29 overall ranking, Concepcion is a better fit, ironically, for the other first-round pick the Rams had this offseason. Los Angeles dealt that selection to the Kansas City Chiefs as part of a trade package for cornerback Trent McDuffie.
So, if the Rams want Concepcion, then they will have to target him at No. 13 overall. That is, unless they move back in the first round.
The Texas A&M product, though, is held in high regard overall. And every year in the draft, players go earlier and later than pundits expect.
Perhaps Concepcion is one of those prospects in 2026.
The receiver began his college career with a 71-catch, 839-yard campaign at NC State in 2023. Concepcion also had 10 touchdowns that season. He transferred to Texas A&M before the 2025 campaign.
In 38 college games, Concepcion had 185 catches, 2,218 receiving yards and 25 scores.
What Concepcion Could Bring to Los Angeles

The Rams offense will once again feature the dual threat of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. But the offense could use an upgrade in the slot.
Concepcion could provide that immediately and eventually transition to the outside when Adams retires.
“Concepcion offers immediate burst and separation into space,” wrote NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein. “He’s elusive in beating press and getting into breaks with minimum damage from handsy coverage.
“He’s also a nightmare for man coverage on choice routes and near the goal line.
“Concepcion’s ability to quickly uncover should be very appealing to teams with spotty protection and a young quarterback.”
Upgrading slot receiver with a pass-catcher who’s a nightmare in man coverage is the exact type of all-in move pundits expect from the Rams. They appear set to potentially make one last Super Bowl run with Matthew Stafford behind center.
