The 2026 NFL Draft is just over two months away and the Los Angeles Rams are in a good position to add some quality pieces to the roster.
LA has two first-round picks in the upcoming draft after trading out of last year’s draft with the Atlanta Falcons.
Following their exit from the NFC Championship game, the Rams are now looking ahead and deciding who will be key players in their future.
Adding Some Weapons to the Rams

The Los Angeles Rams were one of the best teams in the 2025 regular season, having the best scoring offense and could add some more weapons with the 2026 NFL Draft.
CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson released his latest updated mock draft following the Senior Bowl, with the analyst predicting the Rams will select USC wide receiver Makai Lemon with the 29th overall pick.
“Lemon, who also excels as a returner, is a dynamic, versatile receiver with explosive burst, top-tier route running and exceptional YAC ability, making him a threat at all three levels of the field. He excels in space and consistently creates separation with quickness, balance and body control, and has the tackle-breaking ability to turn short gains into big plays,” Wilson wrote.
The WR had his best collegiate season in the 2025 season with USC, which earned him an All-American nod. The junior logged 79 receptions for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Trojans.
Through his three-year career with the University of Southern California, Lemon recorded 2,008 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, while also being a threat in the run game, logging two rushing touchdowns his junior year.
Placing the wide receiver with offensive playcaller and head coach Sean McVay, landing with the Rams may be the best possible spot for Lemon to start his career.
CBS Sports ranks Lemon as the third-best receiver of the 2026 draft class and the 18th overall prospect.
Why Makai Lemon in LA Makes Sense

Puka Nacua is now eligible for an extension following the conclusion of his third season in the NFL.
If the Los Angeles Rams are unable to keep the player long-term, as he is projected to receive a contract of $156 million, Makai Lemon will be the next man up to lead the receiving core.
Davante Adams is also entering the second year of his two-year deal with the team, with his future up in the air following the end of his contract.
Tutu Atwell resigned with the team on a one-year deal for the 2025 season, but there have been no talks about the player returning with the Rams for a sixth season.
With all the questions surrounding the wide receiver options in Los Angeles, Lemon will be with the Rams (barring any trades) for at least four years, which could allow him to thrive under Sean McVay.
