The NFL’s 2026 schedule will be fully unveiled in just a few short hours, with all 32 teams known for going all out to provide fans with the best videos possible.

And with that, one big question lingers regarding how teams will approach the Patriots being on their schedule. Specifically, these videos often have teams making digs at one another, and New England has left itself wide open due to the controversy surrounding Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini.

But, will there be any restrictions from the NFL regarding this?

Front Office Sports reports that the league is “is not reviewing videos in advance,” allowing the teams to “continue to control the content of their memes and videos from start to finish.”

“This is the day when teams are licensed to poke fun at each other. The (Vrabel story) has become such a public matter that teams can take the shot. You may get a call from the Patriots. But the league is not going to get involved,” one source told the outlet. “The only time Park Avenue messages the teams is around labor, CBA, or the refs. The moments when they’re trying to negotiate—and they want everyone on message. If the Jets, Bills, or Chargers choose to ridicule Vrabel, that’s an issue between the teams. The league doesn’t need to mediate that.”

Los Angeles Chargers Are Expected To Poke Fun At Mike Vrabel-Dianna Russini Situation

The Los Angeles Chargers are famous for their schedule release videos, often taking hilarious digs at the other teams. And with that, many are expecting them to poke fun at this incident.

“The Chargers are masters at it. They don’t only take shots at teams; they take shots at individuals as well,” another source told Front Office Sports.

However, there is also the possibility that teams won’t mention this, especially since NFL teams, coaches, and front office executives all have relationships with one another.

“Teams have to answer to one another. Coaches have to answer one another,” a source stated when speaking with the outlet. “People may have relationships with Vrabel, (Pats owner) Bob Kraft or (Pats executive vice president) Eliot Wolf. If you go there, people inside your own building mary take issue with you. And if you dish it out, you better be able to take it.”
