The NFL draft is an exciting time during the league’s usually subdued offseason, and the New York Giants and John Harbaugh are planning a party for it.
The event, now in its 91st year, begins on Thursday, April 23, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and runs through Saturday, April 25.
Even though the draft is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that doesn’t mean you have to watch it alone on your couch with just Doritos to keep you company. Ahead of the 2026 edition, the New York Giants have announced an event for fans, and it even involves a Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo “look-a-like” contest.
New York Giants Announce the Giants Draft Night Block Party
Harbaugh and company are ringing in the 2026 first NFL draft with pizazz, and the team is hosting a first‑round pick party.
The Giants Draft Night Block Party, presented by Moody’s, is set for on Thursday, April 23, at Hudson Yards, New York, near the vessel. A press release describes the event as a “fan‑favorite event for all ages, featuring a full slate of high‑energy activations throughout the public square and Gardens at Hudson Yards.”
The first event runs from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time, and attendees can experience a live DJ, meet‑and‑greet opportunities with Giants legends, Giants photo stations and additional activities. Then, at 7 p.m. Eastern time, the main stage event will start, and that features a Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo “look-a-like” contest where fans are encouraged to dress up and participate.
The Giants Draft Party is free and open to the public. For event details and information, head to the Giants’ official website.
New York Giants Go All In With 2026 NFL Draft Projection
So, who will the New York Giants select with their No. 5 and now No. 10 draft picks? In a mock from ESPN’s Jordan Reid out on Monday, April 20, Reid has the team going with two Ohio State standouts. The move makes sense, because Ohio State is expected to have a ton of strong players in the 2026 NFL draft.
At No. 5, he takes Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles. “John Harbaugh teams have historically had a commanding presence at middle linebacker,” he notes in the piece. “There hasn’t been an off-ball linebacker drafted in the top five since 2019 (Devin White), but Styles is a rare linebacker prospect in a draft class that lacks true high-end options at high-leverage positions.”
At No. 10, he goes with Ohio State safety Caleb Downs. “The Giants added another top-10 pick over the weekend in the Dexter Lawrence II trade, and they can use it to keep addressing the defense,” he notes, making the good point that it’s been almost 10 years since a safety was picked in the top 10. “He is one of the smartest football players I’ve ever studied, and he has the versatility and sure tackling skills to complement that intelligence.”
Styles and Downs both fit the New York Giants like they’ve been there for years. Styles brings a rangy style to the field, and Downs plays clean, fast and mean. Together, they can tighten the middle, erase mistakes and give the Giants’ roster the attitude it’s been missing.
