The New York Giants are not scheduled to play a game outside the United States in 2026 after all.
After months of speculation that the Giants may appear on the list to play in one of the NFL’s record-setting nine international games, they were not chosen for an international game after all.
The NFL announced its teams, times, dates and sites for the nine games abroad Tuesday. The Giants were one of the 16 teams that weren’t chosen.
The Giants, of course, played the first game ever in London against the Miami Dolphins in 2007. They are 3-1 in their previous four international games, with each of their wins coming in London (2007, 2016, 2022) and their lone loss coming to the Carolina Panthers in OT in Munich, Germany in 2024.
The Giants Will Not Play Abroad in 2026
The Giants were in the mix for a potential international game after the NFL announced it would return to Munich. New York has exclusive marketing rights in the major German city, and it has an extra scheduled home game, which offered speculation it may land there this year.
But the Detroit Lions will host the New England Patriots in Munich on Nov. 15, in part for German-born Lions receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to make his return to the city.
Without a home game abroad, the Giants could have still played in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars host a pair of games in England every year, and the Giants are scheduled for a game against the Jags at some point in 2026.
Instead, the NFL slated Jacksonville to play the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 11 before taking on their rival Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 18.
So far the only 2026 Giants regular-season game we know is Week 1 at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football on Sept. 13. The rest of the schedule will be unveiled Thursday.
The Full International Slate of NFL Games
The Giants are actually the only NFC East team that won’t play abroad this season.
Aside from the Eagles in London, the Cowboys will play the Baltimore Ravens in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The Washington Commanders will play the first of three London games against the Indianapolis Colts at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Oct. 4.
Here’s the full nine-game slate of 2026 NFL international games along with time and dates. All times are Eastern.
