Jaxson Dart #6 of the New York Giants warms up prior to the game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.

Jaxson Dart has barely been with the New York Giants for a full season, and he’s already fed up with the team’s lack of success.

Meeting with the media ahead of New York’s final regular-season game against the division rival Dallas Cowboys, Dart told reporters, “It’s going to kill me to watch other teams while we’re not,” per the New York Post’s Ryan Dunleavy.

Unfortunately for Dart and the Giants, they were one of the first teams eliminated from postseason contention in 2025, but there’s reason to be excited about the future.

Despite not accumulating a ton of wins this season, New York is loaded with young talent, and Dart thinks Big Blue is really close to turning things around.

Jaxson Dart: “We Got the Pieces”

In the same conversation with reporters, Dart explained why he feels so vehemently that the New York Giants will be able to turn things around in 2026.

“No. I mean, we got the pieces. This is not an excuse, but obviously, we’ve had a tough schedule. We’ve been in really tight games where this season could completely flip. That’s kind of just the league. Those one-score games and who can capitalize on those moments,” Dart said.

“And there’s a lot of teams who have great records right now, where it could be completely flipped for them as well. So, we got a lot of talent. We have some good vets. And we have a ton of young guys who are going to continue to thrive. I’ve said this a lot. We just have a ton of excitement for the future because we know what this thing can do and how we can flip this around.”

To Dart’s point, there are plenty of young ascending players and talented veterans at important positions.

New York still boasts one of the strongest defensive lines in football, featuring All-Pro caliber players in defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence and edge rusher Brian Burns.

Abdul Carter, despite some off-the-field issues throughout his rookie season, has started to look like the No. 3 overall pick in the draft late in the year.

And of course, the Giants have a hopeful star in their hands with wide receiver Malik Nabers.

Jaxson Dart Can’t Wait to Play With Malik Nabers

Another reason for optimism that Dart pointed to was his untapped connection with Nabers.

The New York Giants’ 2024 first-round pick out of LSU only played about a half of football with Dart in his first career start against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4, before suffering a torn ACL.

Both young players are excited to get back to work, though, and the Giants quarterback said as much to reporters.

“I’m excited. You know, those are conversations that we have a lot. And, you know, we’re two of like some of the younger guys in the entire league at 22. So, you know, we got a long future together and, you know, there’s going to be a lot of great moments,” Dart told the gathered media.

“And I know that he’s been attacking this recovery process and he’s going to come back stronger and better. And, you know, he’s going to be hungry for sure.”

With the future of the Giants’ offense in the hands of these two talented kids, New York has reason to be optimistic about hopefully making a push for the playoffs in 2026.
