The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have several positions to potentially address this offseason, and tight end is one area of focus.
With Cade Otton set to hit free agency, the team has been linked to potential upgrades at the position, either through the draft or by signing a veteran.
One possibility is a major move in free agency, with Tampa Bay linked to the Atlanta Falcons’ pending free agent TE Kyle Pitts.
Nathan Jahnke of PFF listed the Buccaneers as the ideal landing spot for Pitts this offseason.
“The Falcons moved on from their coaching staff this offseason, as Robinson left Atlanta for Tampa Bay,” wrote Jahnke. “While remaining with the Falcons is an option for Pitts, if he moves to another team, it could make sense to stick with Robinson as his offensive playcaller.”
Due to Pitts’ connection with Zac Robinson, the new Buccaneers OC and former Falcons OC, Frank Ammirante of FantasyPros recently predicted Pitts will end up signing with Tampa Bay this offseason.

Kyle Pitts Broke Out in 2025
Pitts is coming off a breakout season that showcased his full potential, helping him earn AP Second-Team All-Pro honors for the 2025 season.
The 25-year-old TE recorded 88 receptions, 928 receiving yards, and five touchdowns this past season, according to ESPN.
His standout season in Atlanta made it clear that he is a legitimate threat in the passing game. More importantly, Robinson knows how to use his skill set to help him thrive in an offense. This is one reason Pitts and Robinson could be interested in staying together.
Pitts is ranked as the 20th-best overall player set to hit free agency this offseason and the top tight end, according to Garrett Podell of CBS Sports.
“He’s improved as a blocker, and the football is starting to find him once again: Pitts’ career-high 88 catches were the second-most in the NFL among tight ends in 2025,” wrote Podell.
The Buccaneers already have strong players in the passing game, but adding Pitts would take the offense to another level.

Exploring Another TE Option
If Pitts isn’t an option for Tampa Bay, the franchise has been heavily linked in mock drafts to Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq with the 15th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Sadiq is ranked as the top tight end and the 14th overall prospect on ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr.’s 2026 Big Board.
“Sadiq is loaded with physical traits. He has the explosion to hurdle defenders in the open field. He has the vision and speed to cause conflict after the catch, with almost half his 2025 yardage coming after the ball was in his hands. And he’s nearly impossible to match against because of his quickness and size,” wrote Kiper Jr.
