The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may be undefeated heading into Week 4, but not everything is going well for them currently. The Bucs have been hit hard by injuries on both sides of the ball in the early going, which has made picking up victories in each of their first three games considerably more difficult than they would have liked.
One guy who recently picked up an injury was starting defensive lineman Logan Hall. Considering how Calijah Kancey is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season with a pectoral injury, losing Hall is just about the last thing the Buccaneers needed. However, the team received a positive update on his injury status on Wednesday that will surely make folks happy.
Buccaneers Get Positive Logan Hall Injury Update
Between offense and defense, the latter is definitely the healthier unit for Tampa Bay, but considering how quickly injuries can pop up in the NFL, that could change quickly. After losing Kancey for the entire season, the Bucs could now be forced to find a way to make do without Hall after he suffered a groin injury.
A second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Hall has emerged as a key piece of the Buccaneers‘ defense over the past few seasons. In 2024, Hall racked up a career-high 5.5 sacks, and his ability to hold up against both the run and the pass makes him a valuable three-down player Tampa Bay can lean on in virtually any situation.
If Hall is forced to miss even one game, that could put the Bucs in a tough spot, as they are already down one starter on their defensive line. However, it seems like Hall may not be forced to miss any time at all, as his groin injury isn’t considered a long-term issue, with the door being open for him to suit up in Week 4.
Finally some good injury news for Bucs: DL Logan Hall suffered a ‘relatively minor’ groin strain last week, per source,” Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported in a post on X. “He’s considered day to day. Not a slam dunk to play this week but not a long term issue.”

It’s still early in the season, so the Buccaneers likely are going to play it safe with Hall in an effort to preserve his long-term health. If he passes all the tests he needs to throughout the week and gets cleared by the team’s medical staff, though, he could find himself back on the field as soon as Week 4, which would be huge for Tampa Bay.
That’s largely because the Bucs’ quest to maintain their perfect season is set to face its biggest test, as the team will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. With the reigning Super Bowl champions also being undefeated through three games, they are going to be just as motivated to win this game as the Buccaneers are. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, and all eyes will be on this game to see which team keeps its perfect season alive.
