Football fans not keen on watching Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show will have an alternative thanks to Turning Point USA — but they won’t be able to find it on television.
The conservative group announced that it would be holding an alternative event to the NFL’s show, one that features Kid Rock and aims to reach an audience not familiar — or not fans — of Bad Bunny.
The show is billed as a “patriotic” alternative to Bad Bunny (even though the Puerto Rican megastar is an American citizen) and has attracted both attention and criticism. It will feature musical performances from Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.
How to Watch Turning Point USA’s Halftime Show
The Turning Point USA halftime show is set to start not long after the end of the second quarter of the Super Bowl. While that timing is different every year depending on the pace of the game and other breaks in play, the Super Bowl halftime show has typically started between 8 p.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. ET.
As the USA Today Network reported, fans will need to head to the internet if they want to watch the alternative to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.
“The All-American Halftime Show halftime performance can be streamed on Turning Point USA social media channels, including YouTube, X, and Rumble.
In addition to social media, the program will air on partner platforms, including Daily Wire+, Real America’s Voice, TBN, CHARGE!, The National News Desk, NTD.com, and OAN News.”

NFL Stands By Bad Bunny Selection
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell stood by the decision to select Bad Bunny for the halftime show, despite some pushback.
“It’s carefully thought through,” Goodell said, via USA Today. “I’m not sure we’ve ever selected an artist where we didn’t have some blowback or criticism. It’s pretty hard to do when you have literally hundreds of millions of people that are watching.”
Some NFL players expressed disappointment with Bad Bunny’s selection, sharing their thoughts in an anonymous player survey conducted by The Athletic. The outlet asked players if they liked the league’s selection of Bad Bunny, with 58.6% saying yes and 41.4% saying no.
For some of the players, it came down to a lack of knowledge — both of the artist himelf, and the fact that Puerto Ricans are American citizens.
“I don’t even know who Bad Bunny is,” said one NFC offensive player. “I always think it should be an American. I think they’re trying too hard with this international stuff.”
Others thought Bad Bunny was out of the realm of “football culture.”
“I do not like it,” a different NFC offensive player said. “(I’d prefer) anyone who’s synonymous with football and football culture. I feel like there’s tons of artists out there who are fans of the game.”
Turning Point’s halftime show alternative to Bad Bunny generated some criticism of its own, especially after lyrics surfaced from Kid Rock where he condoned relationships with underage girls.
