The 2026 Winter Olympics officially kicked off its festivities in Milan, Italy, on Friday, February 6, and alpine skier Lindsey Vonn is part of this year’s games. Ahead of the event, the Olympic gold medalist made a difficult decision about whether to compete in the games after tearing her ACL a week prior, but she decided to go for it.
So, those watching the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games are being treated to watching Vonn take center stage and perform at what is likely her final Olympic event, since she’s 41 years old. Vonn is scheduled to compete in the downhill and super-G events. You may be wondering, “What is Lindsey Vonn’s net worth?” Let’s get into it.
Lindsey Vonn Net Worth
So, what is Lindsey Vonn’s net worth? According to research from Forbes, her net worth is $8 million. Part of the reason why Vonn is worth so much is because of her resilience. Even after being injured multiple times in her career, including now, she forged ahead.
“Vonn returned to the World Cup slopes last season with the help of a partial knee replacement—the opposite knee from her latest injury—and she became the circuit’s oldest downhill champion ever at an event in December, winning another race in January,” Brett Knight of Forbes reported in a feature out on Friday, February 6.
Vonn makes most of her bag by working with more than a dozen brands, Knight says, “including Delta Air Lines, Land Rover and Rolex, edges out her American teammate Mikaela Shiffrin in the financial race. Forbes estimates that the 30-year-old slalom champion, who has won three medals across three previous Olympic appearances, has more than doubled her income since the 2022 Games, to roughly $7 million annually.”
Even though $8 million is a nice chunk of change, Vonn is far from the athlete at the 2026 with the highest net worth. That honor goes to freestyle skier Eileen Gu at $23 million, according to Forbes research and statistics.
Lindsey Vonn Injury Update
As for her injury, on Friday, January 30, the alpine ski racer suffered a scary crash incident during a World Cup race in Switzerland, which resulted in the ACL injury. On Tuesday, February 3, she announced that despite the injury, she’s going forward with her plans to compete.
“I completely tore my ACL last Friday. I also sustained a bone bruise (which is a common injury when you tear your ACL), plus meniscal tears but it’s unclear how much of that was there previously and what was new from the crash,” she said on social media.
She added, “After extensive consultations with doctors, intense therapy, physical tests as well as skiing today, I have determined I am capable of competing in the Olympic Downhill on Sunday. Of course I will still need to do one training run, as is required to race on Sunday, but I am confident in my body’s ability to perform.”
So, when can you watch Vonn in the 2026 Olympics? Her first appearance is scheduled for Sunday, February 8, at 5:30 a.m. ET, airing live on Peacock and USA, and it will re-air at 9:20 a.m. and 10:45 p.m. on NBC. She’ll also compete in the Women’s Super-G at 5:30 a.m. through 7:40 a.m. on February 12.
