NBC’s Mike Torico Broadcasted the Super Bowl Then Flew to Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics on Back-to-Back Nights

NBC’s Mike Torico has had a busy week going from calling the Super Bowl on Sunday to being in Milan for the Olympics on Monday. Torico is hosting NBC’s “Primetime in Milan” which features the day’s top events.

All this on just two cups of coffee, Torico told The New York Times’ Emmanuel Morgan.

“All of the attention is good, but nobody cares at home,” Torico told Morgan in a February 11, feature titled, “Mike Tirico Went From the Super Bowl to the Olympics on Two Cups of Coffee.” “They just put on the TV, and they want to watch the Super Bowl and the Olympics. We are not building bridges here. We are not doing heavy construction.

“We are talking about sports on TV. There’s not one complaint or one ‘Hey, look at me’ part of this at all. I’m just thrilled to be living a sports fan’s dream. While there may be some logistical hurdles that are garnering some attention, to me it’s Monday, it’s Tuesday, it’s the next day of work.”
