Al Nassr hosted Al Hilal SFC on Tuesday night in one of the biggest matches of the Saudi Pro League season, with Al-Nassr vs Al-Hilal carrying massive title implications. Al-Nassr entered the match at the top of the table with 82 points and knew that a victory at Alawwal Park could officially secure the league title. Al-Hilal finished second with 77 points and still had a game in hand, making the Al-Nassr vs Al-Hilal clash crucial in the championship race.

Kick-off was scheduled for 18:00 UTC in Riyadh, with both sides entering the match in strong form near the end of the season.

Al-Nassr vs Al-Hilal Title Race Context

The buildup to Al-Nassr vs Al-Hilal focused heavily on the title race and the recent form of both clubs. Al-Nassr won four of their previous five league matches and remained the league leaders despite a recent defeat earlier in the run.

Al-Hilal, meanwhile, entered the match unbeaten in the Saudi Pro League this season and carrying strong momentum after recently winning the King’s Cup under Simone Inzaghi.

Historically, Al-Hilal has dominated the rivalry. Across 63 league meetings, they recorded 33 victories compared to Al-Nassr’s 14. The previous meeting between the teams ended in a 3–1 Al-Hilal victory in January, with Salem Al-Dawsari, Mohamed Kanno, and Rúben Neves scoring. Cristiano Ronaldo scored Al-Nassr’s goal in that game.

Team News and Key Players

Cristiano Ronaldo again led Al-Nassr’s attack, although injuries to Kingsley Coman, Ângelo, and Raghed Najjar reduced squad depth.

Al-Hilal looked toward experienced names like Salem Al-Dawsari and Rúben Neves as they attempted to cut the gap at the top of the table.

With the Saudi Pro League title potentially on the line, this Al-Nassr vs Al-Hilal encounter carried enormous pressure and expectation in Riyadh.

Al-Nassr vs Al-Hilal: Half-Time Update

Al Nassr FC led Al Hilal SFC 1–0 at half-time after an intense first half filled with major chances and VAR drama.

The breakthrough arrived in the 37th minute through Mohamed Simakan. The defender reacted quickest inside the box following a corner-kick scramble and powered his finish into the right corner to give Al-Nassr the advantage.

Earlier in the match, Karim Benzema thought he had opened the scoring for Al-Hilal in the 18th minute with a header. However, VAR overturned the goal after Sergej Milinković-Savić was ruled offside during the buildup.

Al-Hilal controlled much of the early possession and created several opportunities through Malcom and Milinković-Savić. Al-Nassr, meanwhile, looked dangerous on counterattacks led by Sadio Mané and João Félix.

The match also became increasingly physical as the half progressed. Ali Alhassan and Abdulelah Al-Amri received yellow cards for Al-Nassr, while Hassan Altambakti was booked for Al-Hilal.

Late in the half, Cristiano Ronaldo nearly doubled the lead, but his effort in the 39th minute was saved.

At the break, Al-Nassr held the advantage despite heavy pressure from Al-Hilal during the opening stages.
