Frank Trigg’s UFC return didn’t go according to plan. After losing both of his bouts since returning to the organization in 2009, Trigg was released from his UFC contract today. Trigg confirmed the news with MMA Junkie today, also saying that he hasn’t decided what the future holds.
Trigg was nearly cut from the promotion after a knockout loss to Josh Koscheck in September, but was given a second chance. A second knockout loss, this time to Matt Serra at UFC 109, was enough for the UFC to give Trigg his walking papers.
As Heavy.com reported this morning, Tim Hague and Philippe Nover have also been released from the organization.
