Kingsbury vs. Manuwa Official for UFC on FUEL TV 5
A light heavyweight bout between Kyle Kingsbury and Jimi Manuwa is official for “UFC on FUEL TV 5.”
UFC officials announced the contest.
“UFC on FUEL TV 5” will take place at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England, on September 29. The main event features Stipe Miocic vs. Stefan Struve.
Kingsbury, after racking up a four-fight win streak over Razak Al-Hassan, Jared Hamman, Ricardo Romero and Fabio Maldonado, suffered two consecutive losses to Stephan Bonnar and Glover Teixeira. Kingsbury will be looking to set his career back on track with a win in September.
Meanwhile, Manuwa will be making his UFC debut in september, entering the organization with a record of 11-0. All but one of his victories came via knockout or TKO. He is coming off his most recent win over Anthony Rea, via TKO, at BAMMA 8 in December. Manuwa will look to leave his UFC debut with a win over Kingsbury this September.
