UFC 317 Results & Highlights (Early Prelims)
Jhonta Diniz vs. Alvin Hines (Heavyweight)
Jhonta Diniz simply seemed to be a step ahead of Alvin Hines throughout the first two rounds of their heavyweight showdown.
While Hines seemed to find his rhythm in the third, Diniz walked away with a decision win, extending his UFC record to 2-1.
Result: Jhonta Diniz def. Alvin Hines via Decision.
Niko Price vs. Jacobe Smith (Welterweight)
Jacobe Smith got off to a hot start in his preliminary card fight with Niko Price, dropping the UFC vet early in the first.
Smith never looked back, battering Price throughout the first five minutes before ultimately submitting Price in the second, extending his record to 11-0.

UFC 317 Results & Highlights (ESPN Prelims)
Terrance McKinney vs. Viacheslav Borschev (Lightweight)
Terrance McKinney opened up the prelims with a bang, submitting Viacheslav Borschev early in the first round.
With tonight’s win, McKinney has now won two straight.

Viviane Araújo vs. Tracy Cortez (Women’s Flyweight)
Throughout the course of Tracy Cortez and Viviane Araújo’s preliminary card bout, Cortez seemed to be just a step ahead of Viviane Araújo everywhere. With an impressive combination of grappling and striking, Cortez put on a dominant performance, taking all three rounds en route to a unanimous decision win.

Hyder Amil vs. Jose Miguel Delgado (Featherweight)
The finishes just keep coming! Just moments into their fight, Jose Miguel Delgado landed a brutal knee that dropped Hyder Amil.
Delgado quickly swarmed, landing a barrage of punches, forcing referee Marc Goddard to step in.

Jack Hermansson vs. Gregory Rodrigues (Middleweight)
After getting finished by Jared Cannonier, Gregory Rodrigues made a statement in tonight’s fight with Jack Hermansson.
In the first round, Rodrigues used an overhand right to set up a hook that landed flush, bringing an end to this middleweight showdown.

UFC 317 Live Results & Highlights (Main Card)
Payton Talbott vs. Felipe Lima (Bantamweight)
Payton Talbott and Felipe Lima kicked off the pay-per-view portion of the card with a back-and-forth fight that saw both fighters have their moments throughout the first round.
In the second, Talbott seemed to find his rhythm, showcasing some improved grappling since his previous fight.
While Lima kept things competitive throughout the third, Payton Talbott managed to edge out a split decision.

Beneil Dariush vs. Renato Moicano (Lightweight)
After a short feeling out process early in the first, Renato Moicano swung momentum his way in the second half of the round, dropping Beneil Dariush with a straight that nearly ended the fight.
After surviving the first, Dariush put together an impressive start to round two, using his grappling to wear on Money Moicano.
Heading into the third, the MMA community seems to have this one tied 1-1.
In the third round, Beneil Dariush more than doubled Renato Moicano’s significant strikes, pushing the pace to edge out a decision, snapping a two-fight skid.

Brandon Royval vs. Joshua Van (Flyweight)
The flyweight No. 1 contender fight between Brandon Royval and Joshua Van proved to be all that we were promised.
Throughout the first, the two traded on the feet, with both fighters having big moments. Van, however, seemed to be coming out ahead in many of the exchanges.
In the second, the two stood toe-to-toe, putting on a show for the fans, with Royval leading the dance through much of the round.
Although he stepped in on short notice, Van managed to push the pace throughout the third round, with neither fighter showing any sign of wanting to take this to the ground.
At the end of the round, Van dropped Royval with a big shot that may have secured him a decision win, and the No. 1 contender spot.

(C) Alexandre Pantoja vs. Kai Kara-France (Flyweight)
Alexandre Pantoja didn’t waste any time getting things going against Kai Kara-France, pushing the pace and using his grappling to control the early portion of the fight, threatening the challenger with a submission midway through the round.
As the fight went on, Pantoja only gained momentum, ultimately winning the fight in the third with an impressive rear-naked choke.

Ilia Topuria vs. Charles Oliveira (Lightweight)
In the UFC 317 main event, Ilia Topuria knocked out Charles Oliveira to win the vacant lightweight title.
After a back-and-forth grappling exchange early on, Topuria was able to find his range with hooks, putting the former lightweight champ to sleep with a vicious combination to capture UFC gold.
