Nick Vannett: Everything you need to know

Vannett (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Seahawks, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports. Vannett has played in each of the Rams' last seven games (including their two playoff contests). However, the veteran will be a healthy inactive for Sunday's playoff game while the Rams go with four active tight ends in Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson, Terrance Ferguson and Davis Allen.

Vannett (oblique) does not carry an injury designation into Thursday's game against the Seahawks, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports. An oblique injury limited Vannett's participation in Monday's and Tuesday's walkthrough practices, but the veteran tight end has been cleared to play in Week 16 after logging a full practice Wednesday. He's mostly served on special teams this season and will operate as the Rams' TE4 behind Colby Parkinson, Terrance Ferguson and Davis Allen for Thursday night's game.

Vannett (oblique) was a limited practice participant Tuesday, per the NFL's transaction log. The 32-year-old played 11 special-teams snaps and likely picked up an oblique injury during the Rams' Week 15 win over the Lions. Vannett's practice participation Wednesday and Thursday will likely provide the best indication of whether he can play in Thursday night's divisional matchup against the Seahawks.
