Leonard Fournette entered Week 10 of the college football season as a heavy favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. According to OddsShark, Fournette is more than two times as likely to win the award as Trevone Boykin, the next player in line for the award.

Fournette (-225), Boykin (+500), Ezekiel Elliott (+800), Deshaun Watson (+900) and Derrick Henry (+1400) are Vegas’ top five candidates to win the award.

Fournette has had quite the season. Heading into LSU’s clash with Alabama, Fournette had rushed for 1352 yards and 15 touchdowns in just seven games.

Henry has also had a great season for Alabama at running back. Through eight games, he had rushed for 1044 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Henry’s 210 yards and three touchdowns against LSU is likely to eat into Fournette’s lead. Especially in light of Fournette’s struggles in the same game.

Henry’s performance closed the gap between Fournette and the rest of the field for the Heisman Trophy. Once oddsmakers take into account this past week’s performances, Henry’s odds are likely to surge while Fournette’s lead will have lessened.
