The Jaguars hope enter the playoff conversation Sunday with their third straight win. This week they host the San Diego Chargers, who haven’t won a game since Week 4.

San Diego’s losing streak started in primetime, when Le’Veon Bell scored on a last-second touchdown to lead to Steelers over the Chargers. Philip Rivers and the Chargers have now lost six straight games, five of which were within one score.

It’s only Blake Bortles second season, but he’s showing some signs of what made Rivers so successful. This year Bortles has been taking more chances down the field, which has yielded positive results for the Jaguars. Like Rivers, his interceptions have been due to risky plays rather than ill-advised ones.

If Jacksonville wants to make any type of run this season, they’ll need to keep their franchise QB healthy. Bortles has been sacked 32 times this season, third-most in the NFL.
