Real Madrid have already clinched their place in the next round of Champions League play, but will still want to put together a good performance today against Malmo. Madrid are still trying to bury it’s most recent embarrassing moments, including a debacle against Barcelona and their dismissal from Copa del Rey.
To forget those incidents, Madrid will want more of what they put forth Saturday against Getafe. Madrid went into halftime up 4-0, with goals from all of their biggest names. Madrid is at the top of Group A with 13 points, and holds the tiebreaker over PSG to maintain their standing as group winners regardless of today’s outcome.
There is still plenty at stake for Malmo. The side is tied with Shakhatar at three points apiece, and needs at least a draw to contend for advancement into EUROPA League.
Today’s game will be available on Fox Sports One in the US at 2:45 p.m. Eastern. Because of an agreement between FOX and ESPN, the game will be available on both streaming platforms (WatchESPN & Fox Sports GO).
