Colin Capece is a Contributing Writer at Heavy. He has worked for both local and national publications in the print and digital spaces and is currently based in New York.
Capece was previously a writer at The Sporting News, where he covered the NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB, as well as golf, tennis and college sports.
Capece has also been a high school sports reporter for The Dallas Morning News, where he covered Friday Night Lights, volleyball and recruiting in North Texas. It's an experience he'll never forget that taught him how to be a sharp reporter and storyteller.
Capece's work has also appeared in USA Today and The Arizona Republic, where he interviewed some incredible athletes including Caitlin Clark and Scottie Scheffler.
Education
Colin Capece earned a master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame.
