David Bernauer is a sports journalist covering the NBA for Heavy.com. He has covered a multitude of sports and events, including the 2024 Paris Olympics, the NASCAR championship race, multiple MLB spring trainings and Para sports. Bernauer also has experience covering Phoenix sports for PHNX part of the AllCity network. Growing up in Orlando, Florida, he first got into sports as a result of the Orlando Magic's 2009 NBA Finals run and hasn't stopped reading, watching and learning about them since.
Education
David Bernauer graduated from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, studying sports journalism.
