Barboza vs. Njokuani, Cane vs. Vemola set for Spike TV
The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Spike TV this month with the ever-popular preliminary card special for UFC 128.
MMAjunkie.com learned of the news earlier today after speaking with sources close to the event.
A light heavyweight contest between Karlos Vemola and Luiz Cane, as well as a lightweight bout between Anthony Njokuani and Edson Barboza will be featured on the “UFC Prelims” special for the upcoming March event, marking the UFC’s return to the channel for the one hour-long broadcast for the first time since UFC 126 earlier this month. The promotion has been splitting the time with ION Television and Facebook streams as of late, which will also be happening for UFC 127.
UFC 128 features a light heavyweight title fight between champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and top contender Jon Jones, while the co-main event of the evening features the return of longtime WEC champion Urijah Faber, who faces off against Eddie Wineland. The card will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on March 19.
