A light heavyweight contest between Stefan Struve and Dave Herman has been added to the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s debut event on FUEL TV this February.

UFC officials confirmed the news earlier today.

Struve, who went to Twitter earlier today to express his excitement for the news, is coming off a submission victory over Pat Barry at “UFC on Versus 5.” Prior to that, he was knocked out by Travis Browne at UFC 130, which snapped a two-fight winning streak that included victories over Sean McCorkle and Christian Morecraft.

Herman, meanwhile, has not tasted defeat since May of 2010, when he was disqualified for an illegal knee against Rameau Thierry Sokodjou in Abu Dhabi. Since the unfortunate outcome, he has won three straight, including his UFC debut against Jon Olav Einemo at UFC 131 in a contest that earned both fighters the “Fight of the Night” bonus.

“UFC on FUEL TV 1” is official for February 15 in Omaha, Nebraska. The only other fight to be confirmed by the promotion is the evening’s main even; a welterweight tilt between contenders Diego Sanchez and Jake Ellenberger.
