Cruz, Faber meet at UFC 148
UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta announced on Twitter early Friday that the two would meet again at UFC 148 in Las Vegas this July.
Cruz and Faber’s history goes back to WEC 26, when the two met for the first time. Faber walked away with the victory, but Cruz since has found revenge, defeating “The California Kid” at UFC 132 last year. Now the next chapter not only features the highly-anticipated rematch, but also an entire season of the two coaching opposite one another on the upcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
The season will be the first to air on FX, and, for the first time, fights will actually broadcast live, giving each episode a higher level of relevance than ever before. To go along with the fights this season, Faber and Cruz will surely entertain with their back-and-forth trash talking that everyone should be accustomed to at this point.
UFC 148 is official for July 7 in Las Vegas, and the bantamweight championship will serve as the main event. No other bouts have been announced for the card.
