Boulder Sunshine Fire Photos: Pictures of the Colorado Wildfire

More than 1,000 homes have been evacuated west of Boulder in what has been dubbed the #SunshineFire. So far, the fire covers 62 acres and there is 20 percent containment, Boulder OEM reported at the time of publication. No structures or buildings have been damaged yet either. However, the fire is creeping near downtown Boulder and has left many residents worried, Denver Post reported. The fire first started around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday and is moving in a southerly direction toward downtown Boulder, so firefighters are focusing on containing the southern side of the fire. In addition to the 1,000 evacuated homes, 3,700 homes are on pre-evacuation notice. If you have questions about the evacuation, the non-emergency line is 303-413-7730. Click through the gallery to see more photos from the fire. We will add additional pictures as the day progresses. This photo, from Red Rocks Trail this morning, was shared on Twitter by Samuel Forsyth. Samuel shared many additional photos from the scene, which you can see on his Twitter feed here.
