The Bruins (41-25-13), on a five-game win streak, go into Washington looking to keep their playoff hopes alive. They currently hold the second wildcard spot and are two points out of the third spot in the Atlantic.
The Capitals (44-25-11) have already clinched, but are still trying to hold the second seed in the Metropolitan.
